Parents and Families: Yes! You can “refer” your child to us for Early Intervention Services

We offer Early Intervention Services for children ages infant to age three for any child not meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones or at risk of not meeting developmental milestones due to a diagnosis or other factors.

Examples of Developmental Milestones

Examples of delays in meeting milestones during infancy up to age three may include difficulty sitting up, talking, crawling, and/or walking, or experiencing challenges with eating, sleeping, playing, and interacting with others.

Serving Families and Children in these Communities

We specifically work with families and their children in two ‘catchment areas’ in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:

  • Greater Lawrence Catchment area:
This area includes Andover, Lawrence, Methuen, and North Andover
  • Greater Lowell Catchment area:
This area includes children living in Lowell, Chelmsford, Billerica, Dracut, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, Dunstable, and Westford.

We Offer Parents and Families an Easy 3 Step Process to Secure Our Services

  1. Referring a child
Referrals for Early Intervention services can be made by anyone who has concerns about the development of a child. Parents, physicians, childcare providers, and community partners can refer a child for our services.
  2. Evaluation
An evaluation of the child takes place at the child’s home, at childcare, or at one of our locations. The goal of the evaluation is to meet with the parents, caregivers, and the child with the appropriate specialists to determine eligibility and, if eligible, to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan based on the needs of the child.
  3. Therapeutic Services
Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of specialists to help the child acquire the skills they need to make gains in their development and reach their full potential. Our therapeutic interventions are designed to naturally integrate into a family’s daily routines and are respectful of each family’s culture and learning style.
