Helping Parents and Caregivers with Feeding Concerns

Feeding Concerns

Our speech language pathologists and occupational therapists have extensive knowledge and experience working with infants and young children up to age three, identifying ways to nurture their growth and development. In this video, Natalie Howard, MS, CCC-SLP, a speech language pathologist, describes some of the concerns families have with feeding their infants or toddlers and how Early Intervention Services assist families in addressing concerns regarding feeding. From bottle feeding to transitioning to solid foods, our Early Intervention Services professionals work with families to offer therapies, strategies, and support that can be integrated into a family’s home environment and daily routines.

Partners in Child Development’s Early Intervention Services offers therapeutic services to children aged infant to three years old to help them meet age-appropriate developmental milestones. Intervention during these early years is essential as the brain is rapidly developing. Our staff includes a breadth of specialists including speech language pathologists like Natalie who are trained, certified, and dedicated to working with young children.

Our services are provided at no cost to a family, serving children and families in the Greater Lawrence and the Greater Lowell communities.

Watch this video as Natalie shares how Early Intervention Services empower and improve outcomes for families and caregivers of children who are not meeting or are at risk of not meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones.

If you as a parent or caregiver and have concerns about an infant who is not latching during breast feeding or a toddler exhibiting gagging as solid foods are introduced or showing aversions to food, please reach out to us. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you and provide a free evaluation of your child.
