On Friday, May 9, Partners in Child Development was thrilled to continue our 45-year legacy with the official opening of our new Early Intervention Services headquarters in Lawrence, MA. Despite the rainy spring day, the ribbon cutting ceremony, coordinated with the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce, was one of warmth and excitement as attendees toured our new beautiful space.
Partners in Child Development was filled with gratitude to be joined by community leaders, families, and partners, including:
- Stefanie Helstrom parent speaker, who shared her family’s Early Intervention experience
- Lawrence City Councilor Ana Levy
- Representative Frank Moran
- District Director for Senator Payano, Marina Acosta
- President of the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce Michael Bevilacqua
Stefanie Helstrom, our parent speaker, remembered her experience with Early Intervention Services for all three of her daughters. Her oldest daughter was born during COVID and was not meeting milestones as she turned two and the world reopened. Stefanie not only received services for her daughter but also was given support as she adjusted as first-time mom coming out of the pandemic. When her twin girls were born prematurely, she returned to Early Intervention Services without hesitation to ensure the twins received support to meet age-appropriate milestones. As Stefanie retold her emotional story, she reiterated that the support her family received from Early Intervention Services was valuable beyond words.
The Early Intervention Services program at Partners in Child Development is one of the original providers in the Commonwealth, offering essential therapeutic services for children from infants to age three who are not meeting age-appropriate developmental milestones or are at risk of delays. We are proud of our reputation for empowering families and dramatically improving outcomes for children and are thrilled to continue serving families and children in our beautiful new location.
This new location represents a renewed commitment to families and children in the Greater Lawrence area serving children in Lawrence, Andover, Methuen, and North Andover. With another office in Chelmsford, we serve children and families in the Greater Lowell area including Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Lowell, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, and Westford.
We are grateful to all those who joined our ribbon cutting ceremony and toured our new Early Intervention headquarters. We look forward to many more years helping to change the trajectory of children’s lives, one child at a time.
