Emilia has been working with Partners in Child Development’s Early Intervention Services since she was 13 months old. We noticed that she was not meeting development benchmarks, and we reached out for an evaluation. We were matched with developmental specialist Jolene. While shy at first, Emilia quickly warmed up to her and within weeks they were best friends. Jolene has become a family member and a trusted advisor when it comes to Emilia. She has brought in Jamie, a physical therapist for Emilia once a month. Like Jolene, Jamie has been an advocate for Emilia.
Emilia received a diagnosis of global developmental delay1 and autism2. Jolene helped us set up in home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)3 services to give Emilia all the support she needs. We have seen an incredible change in Emilia. She is communicating more and is a happy and sociable little girl.
Emilia will turn three years old in December and while I am excited to see what else she will accomplish; we are incredibly sad to be losing a team that has become like family to us. I will forever be grateful that we had the privilege of working with Early Intervention Services at Partners in Child Development. Emilia would not be where she is today without them.
Partners in Child Development is committed to supporting and partnering with families through each of our programs. Jolene Killoren, CEIS, Early Intervention Developmental Specialist within the Early Intervention Services program shares, “Emilia’s parents are diligent with follow through of strategies which is apparent every week when I see the new skills she has developed! Their dedication to their daughter’s growth is beautiful to watch. I love that part of my job! It has been a pleasure working with this family!”
We look forward to hearing more about Emilia’s journey and are so thrilled to see how much she has accomplished!
