Finding Support Through Shared Experience

No one offers better support than a parent who’s been there. For families in Massachusetts, the Parent to Parent (P2P) Program provides that connection.

P2P is especially helpful for parents and caregivers facing a new diagnosis or challenge. It pairs families with Volunteer Support Parents—caregivers who’ve had similar experiences and are ready to listen, offer understanding, and share perspective.

Support is easy and accessible by phone or email. Volunteers bring diverse backgrounds, speak many languages, and are matched whenever possible by shared language, culture, or lived experience.

Operated by the Federation for Children with Special Needs, P2P offers emotional support by connecting families of children with disabilities or medical complexities with trained Support Parents who truly understand.
