What to Expect from an Early Intervention Services’ Physical Therapist Visit

EI PT Thompson

Our physical therapists are highly trained and experienced to work with young children, identifying ways to nurture their growth and development. In this video, Jamie Thompson, who has a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, describes how she works with infants and toddlers, first assessing where they are and then speaking with parents or caregivers to develop a plan and strategies to help the child. As Jamie describes in this video, our Early Intervention Services are often provided in a child’s natural environment, in their home or at a childcare center, and are integrated into a family’s routine.

Partners in Child Development’s Early Intervention Services offers therapeutic services to children aged infant to three years old to help them meet age-appropriate developmental milestones. Intervention during these early years is essential for the rapidly developing young brain. We serve children and families in the Greater Lawrence and the Greater Lowell area. As Jamie reiterates, Early Intervention Services empowers and improves outcomes for families and caregivers of children who are not meeting or are at risk of not meeting developmental milestones. When parents or caregivers are concerned about a child who is not crawling, sitting up, walking, or other developmental delays, please reach out to Early Intervention Services.
